I originally considered calling this collection of prints “Simple Pleasures”. But when I went to see a printmaker, she looked at the photos and said “Glimmers”. “Why glimmers?” I asked. She explained: We are all familiar with “triggers” - things that trigger negative memories. But recently she had found herself actively looking for things that would be the opposite of triggers, “Glimmers” - things that evoke positive memories and associations. “That’s what these photographs are for me,” she offered so generously.

That’s what they mean to me. I sincerely hope they’ll be glimmers in your life, too.
